Winnie The Pooh

Welcome to Pooh Corner, the wonderful home to Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh is the creation of A.A. Milne, named after a teddy bear owned by his son - Christopher Robin. Most of the characters in Hundred Acre Wood also have names inspired by Christopher's toys - Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore included. Winnie the Pooh's adventures with his friends often revolve around his favourite food - Hunny. It is during one of his adventures that Pooh and Christopher Robin come up with the game Poohsticks. The game involves collecting sticks, dropping them over the side of a bridge into a stream, and seeing whose stick passes under the bridge first. It became a hit with children and adults alike, with the annual World Poohsticks Championship still taking place in Oxfordshire. Winnie the Pooh has been animated by Disney since 1966 and is a firm favourite in their Disneyland Parks.
