'Tangled' is the 2011 animated adventure film from Walt Disney Animations, based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale - Rapunzel. Princess Rapunzel was kidnapped as a baby by an old woman - Gothel - who covets the healing powers of Rapunzel's hair which can provide eternal youth. Rapunzel lives in the tower with Pascal, a chameleon, and yearns for a taste of freedom. Flynn, a thief who steals Rapunzel's tiara from the palace, stumbles upon the tower and uses it as a hiding place until Rapunzel locks him in her wardrobe and makes a deal with him. She will return the tiara to him if he will take her to see the lights lit in her honour. Their journey is a troubled one, and slowly Rapunzel and Flynn fall in love. They team up with Maximus the horse to escape the soldiers hunting Flynn, but are caught by Gothel. Eventually, Rapunzel and Flynn escape after cutting Rapunzel's hair to prevent Gothel from keeping her, and return to her parents - the King and Queen.
