Oh Barnacles! Looking rather like a common kitchen sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants is an energetic and childish animated yellow sea-sponge living in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom with his pet snail - Gary - and his best friend Patrick Star - the pink starfish. Other characters include Sandy Cheeks (a squirrel from Texas), Squidward Tentacles (the egotistical octopus neighbor of SpongeBob), Eugene Krabs (owner of Krusty Krabs restaurant and SpongeBob's boss) and Sheldon Plankton (owner of the rival eatery - Chum Bucket).
