Spiderman is a fictional character from Marvel comics and has been a constant presence in comic books and animations since 1962. Beneath the red and blue costume is Peter Parker - initially a teenager dealing with his adolescent feelings - who learns the trade of being a superhero himself. He takes on the super powers of spiders - being able to walk up walls, shoot nets of web from his wrists and super-quick reactions. Over time, he has grown up, and in more recent productions, Peter is now a freelance journalist for The Daily Bugle. 2002-2007 saw the role of Spiderman being played by Tobey Maguire in 3 Blockbuster films, helping to secure the win of the MTV Music Award for Best Film in 2003. Spiderman even has its own Broadway show, Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark, starring Reeve Carney.
