The Smurfs are a race of little blue people who were popular in the 80's and are regaining their appeal as the world goes retro. The Smurfs animated movie is due out later in 2011, and is set to be a smash hit with children of all ages. Papa Smurf leads the community of white trousered, white capped people which includes the likes of Brainy, Doctor Smurf, Handy and Smurfette. Smurfette is not an original Smurf - she was created by the Smurf's arch-enemy Gargamel. Along with his cat, Azrael, the human sorcerer Gargamel seeks to destroy the Smurfs and their mushroom-house village.
