A Pirate Party does not just have to be for the kids; after all, you probably enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean as much as they did!
Let the design of your invitations set the scene for your guests. How about a pirate ship on the front?
It is dark when your invited guests arrive at your front door either side of which are skull and crossbones flags fluttering in the wind. They have to step over a skull with a candle flickering inside. On the hall table is a small treasure chest with trinkets inside protected by a snake. Oil lamps glow in the dimly lit rooms and on the walls are posters of famous pirates such as Black Beard and galleys that have sailed the seven seas. There are wooden casks for your guests to sit on.
Pirates enjoyed their drink so make sure you have plenty of rum punch, beer, cider and wine. As for food, well how about chicken legs, a pig roast, spare ribs, baked beans, baked potatoes and chunks of bread to be followed by a chocolate cake in the shape of a pirate ship covered in brandy cream.
Make sure you have got the DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean on to add to the ambience of the evening. As for music, why not start off with a few sea shanties to get things going to be followed by some lively dance music.
Party Connection has an excellent range of Pirate Fancy Dress costumes and accessories to choose from. How about a Buccaneer costume or a Bounty of the Seas costume? Don’t forget the eye patch and earrings or the pirate sword. We also have a selection of pirate hats to sit atop your head.
