Disney Pixar's Cars is an animated film which follows Lightning McQueen in his personal journey to discover what really matters in life. A week before his big race, McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) finds himself sentenced to community service in Radiator Springs after tearing up the road. There he falls for Sally Carrera, and makes friends with Mater - a rusty Tow Truck. After realising that the town doctor - Doc Hudson is really the famous race winner The Hudson Hornet, Lightning McQueen begins to look beyond the sleepy town outlook of his new-found friends. He is transformed from a selfish glory-hunting racing car into someone who wants to win for 'the team'.  Cars was released in 2006 and nominated for a 2 Academy Awards and won a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Film. The Disney favourite is set to return to our screens in June 2011 with the release of 'Cars 2'. Lightning McQueen will compete in the first ever World Grand Prix and Mater gets embroiled in the world of international espionage. 'Cars 2' features Michael Caine as the new character, Finn McMissile.
